Organization Summary

Healing For The Abused Woman Ministries, Inc., DBA Abused Woman Ministries, Inc., was founded by Dr. Dorothy E. Hooks to provide educational support for her nonprofit organization, The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc. The educational series Dr. Hooks designed is called “Abused Woman Recovery” which will help abused and battered women of domestic violence. Abused Woman Ministries, Inc. is a separate entity of The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc. Abused Woman Ministries, Inc.'s mission is to empower abused and battered women for destiny by teaching them how to recover from abuse.

Dr. Hooks’ vision is to help abused women recover from the bondage of domestic violence. Dr. Hooks will accomplish her vision using the "Biblical Foundations of Freedom (BFOF) Program" and the "Abused Woman Recovery Program" (AWRP) which includes her “Abused Woman Recovery” series books and other recovery materials. Abused Woman Ministries, Inc. will assist The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc. obtain its objectives which are to:

» Help women and their children recover from abuse.
» Insure safety and well-being for the hurting woman and her child(ren).
» Effectively equip them for independent living.
» Effectively prepare them for work place readiness.
» Use practical applications of biblical life skills to help women become better mothers and productive citizens.
